no more moving
"I am not afraid of anything. I am traveling a path."--from the novel Adventure Divas
^ This quote is perfect for my life right now! Also, I def. recommend this book to everyone to read!! ")
This week I couldn't help but notice that almost everyone that I am friends with on facebook has a status about moving back to Columbia, and if they have graduated like myself, they are writing about how sad they are to not be moving back. I am, however, not experiencing this sadness. I don't know if it because I am so busy getting a classroom ready and working and getting ready for grad school that I don't even have time to think about it, or if I'm just over college all together. Which ever it may be, I am kinda glad that I am not having crying fits or meltdowns about this new chapter in my life. I am so excited/ nervous to start grad school that I don't really have time to think about much else. Now, don't get me wrong, I miss all my friends and the such from SC very much, but with phone calls, text, and skype I don't feel nearly as far from them as we actually are! I also have a trip to SC coming up in 6 weeks for Megan and Mikey that I am very much looking forward too and that helps a lot! I am so blessed and lucky to be apart of their special day!
I am adjusting to my new work schedule 6am to 2 pm now after about 3 weeks, its become very normal for me. I have taken to the school age room and tornado Julie has swept across it with lot's of decorating and fun things for the kiddos to do. We have a bulletin board all about football to track the gamecocks and memphis tigers throughout the fall! We're going to tally the wins and loses and the newspaper headlines, etc. Needless to say, the boys are very excited about this! I also have a growth wall chart to see who grows the most over the school year. They think this is fabulous and love to see who is taller than whom.
I am loving being at home and feeling adjusted finally to the routine... just in time for classes to start and mix it up!
Best of luck to all my USC peeps who are starting school this week! Y'all are going to have a fantastic year, I just know it!!
