Time flies when your havin' fun!

Yesterday reality really set in for me for a few reasons. The first being that one of my 2nd graders came up to me as she was packing up to go home and asked, "Ms. Robinson, are you a senior?". Surprised that she even knew the different levels of college, I answered, "Yea, I am" and then she asked, "At USC?". My immediate response, was of course, "YES!" and then i proceeded to do my happy dance and not soon after that I realized that as of Sunday I have already completed 1 or my 3 months of student teaching and 1/3 of my last fall semester at USC. ScArY!

Also, a few days prior I had received and email from the College of Ed. with the title: Register for Advisement. AAAGGHHHH!!!!! ALREADY?!?!?! was my first thought! So yesterday, I also stopped by the College of Ed. to register for advisement, which is Oct. 1! As if my semester is already flying past by, now I have to think about what I have left to do in my last semester of college- by 2 weeks time! I guess what they say is true: Time goes by much quicker the older you get.

Now about my children...Yesterday we went on a field trip to the Nasa Challenger Center in Columbia, SC. It is a quick 3 minute bus ride away from our school and the children get to do a lesson on Weather and Air- which is what our science unit is all about this 9 weeks. They were so excited! When we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed into the building and the children took a seat at one of the many tables of their choice in the room. The lead man then took over and did a great lesson with the children about the different tools that are used to measure air speed and direction. The children were really engaged and all of them seemed to really enjoy the lesson. Once we were finished, we all got back on the bus and headed back to school just in time for lunch.
