The ladies of Yarniverse

On Thursday I went after work to this lovely little shop in Memphis called Yarniverse. This is a knitting shop and I had no idea what I was in for when I walked into the store, but I was so pleasantly surprised by what I found. My intention was to go in and use my groupon to get supplies then hit the gym before class started. Wellllll when I walked in I was greeted by shelves and shelves of colorful yarn, a round table full of ladies knitting and chatting, and a wonderful woman who asked if she could help me. I told her that I wanted to get started on knitting and that I had no idea what I was doing or where to start. She showed me all the yarn options that are good for beginners and she got me some needles then she sat down with me to get me started. She fixed all my errors, and there was one about every row I did, and she told me that I can come in a knit anytime I want and if I have mistakes that if I come back in they will fix them for me!! I sat there knitting and learning until it was time to go to class! It was a fantastic experience and I love knitting! I have now learned how to knit and can cross it off my 99 list. I am excited to continue my scarf!!!
