This weekend is Relay for Life, my favorite event of the semester and year pretty much, and I couldn't be more excited! I have the honor or walking in memory of several people and in honor of several people that family and friends and myself know. I love this event for the sense of community that I get when the whole campus joins together for a night and a great cause! We are all there for the same reason and the atmosphere is just wonderful to be in the presence of something so great, that we young people have achieved! The following morning I will be walking in a chalk walk which is put on by the USC FEA (future educators of America). It is a walk to raise money for them so they can do great things to do and be as teachers! Everyone will be walking to honor a great teacher that they have had! I couldn't choose just one, so I didn't specify on my form. I have been so privileged in my education to have so many wonderful teachers touch my life that choosing one was like stabbing the others in the back! SO as I walk, I will remember all the great and marvelous teachers that I have had that got me to where I am now- a future teacher of young minds!! On Sunday, ESA is having their annual sand volleyball tourney for Easter Seals. This is so great because Easter Seals helps special education children achieve dreams and live the life they want to and may not be able to without the help of the Easter Seals. I love this and feel so honored to be able to help them! I will finish my SUnday with a facial by a friends sister who just started to sell Mary Kay. I think this will be a wonderful way to wind down right before my hectic week starts up!
Next week has quite a lot in store me, unfortunately. Since it is the last week of class, I thought it would an easy wrap- up the course week.... Yeah, right Julie! In your dreams!! I have a paper due on Tuesday and 3 out of 4 classes are having my FINAL EXAM that Thursday (The last day of class)!!!!! and as nice as it was for them to let us out early, they couldn't of chosen different days, really?!?!?! However, after that I am done, except for one final online the following wednesday. SO I will be doing a lot of relaxing by the pool (Pray for good weather)! After all, I think I deserve it after 4 years of stress and school work!
With GRADUATION only a mere 23 days away (I mean, whose counting?) I am trying to cram everything in before I leave. This is hard, but I keep telling myself that I am coming back and I will see everyone again, so I don't need to be so stressed about this! I am very excited about the future (if Memphis would just mail me a stickin' letter that says "CONGRATULATIONS!" on it!!)!!! I really would just appreciate that... ALOT!
Well this is enough of my blabbing, I'm sure you're bored by now if you've stuck around, but thanks, I appreciate that!!
