great friends... great weekend!

This weekend I was invited to go the Pickwick Lake with my best friend and her husband. It was a great weekend full of lots of sunshine and relaxation and no thinking about small children for 3 whole days! It was so nice to get out of Memphis for the weekend and spend some time with friends who are my age and not under the age of 7. We spent a lot of time on the boat and I got on a sea doo for the first time in my life. The trip didn't last long, but I was able to check another item off my 99 list. I am so thankful for great friends who have quickly become family!
On Friday the same friends and I went to Zoo Brew at the Memphis zoo and it was very fun. They had about 1/ 3 of the zoo open for us to wonder around and sample many, many beers. It was a great start to the long weekend and wonderful way to wind down after my first week of being a nanny of 3.
On that note, my new nanny job is sooo fun! I love the children and family who have truely accepted and welcomed me into their family. The boys who are 4 and 7 are constantly on the move and keep me on my toes. The 3 month old baby girl is very easy going and doesn't mind getting toted around as the boys and I go out and about, whether it be to school or the pool or anywhere else for that matter.
It seems that the summer is off to a great start and I am very excited to see what the rest of the warm weather months have in store for me!
